Ooty, the queen of hill stations and the capital of Nilgiris district, is one of the most popular tourist destination, especially as a honeymoon destination. Pykara river is the largest river and is located about 21 kms from the city on the Ooty-Mysore road in the Nilgiri district. The area around the lake is surrounded by sholas that adds to its natural beauty.

Dolphin Nose

Dolphin's Nose Viewpoint is a tourist spot in Coonoor, The Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu. Dolphin's Nose is well over 1,000 feet above sea level, 10 km from Coonoor and is a spectacular spot to visit. The tip of the peak resembles a dolphin's nose, hence the name Dolphin's Nose.
